McArthur Park

Vicente de lara Park in Cagayan de Oro City also known as McArthur Park in honor of General Douglas McArthur, is a popular place in Cagayan de Oro City.

Which you can see many Kagay-anons exercise and having zumba which held early in the morning especially those who are in the middle age.

You can also see lots of different stall that sells many different kinds of bags, shoes, dresses, jeans and especially foods. In the afternoon, McArthur Park is also a place for chess players and dancers.

There are lots of teenagers who practice their dance and doing there routines until evening and also there are lots of couples who are dating and spending their vacant time in the Park.

McArthur Park has also a lot of scavengers and homeless Kagay-anons who stays in the Park and make it as their shelter. The Park is also a venue for activities and programs which organized by different organizations who are supported by the Provincial Capitol and the Governor of Misamis Oriental, Bambi Emano. Mc Arthur Park has a Press Freedom Monument and a Heritage Monument of Misamis Oriental designed by national artist Eduardo Castrillo.
